Guillermo
Peinado

Guille is from Madrid and has been part of the Sputnik family since we opened the first center in Alcobendas. Then he was eleven years old and came with his parents to celebrate his birthday and boom!!!! Six years later Guille debuts in the World Cup in the senior category. We never know how far the decisions we make can take us.

Guille loves the mountains and loves rock climbing, but his thing is to compete: when he gets in front of the competition wall his mind is focused and nothing else exists. And that’s how he climbs: free of fears, prejudices or complexes. In each championship Guille climbs putting all his energy and, above all, he goes out to enjoy.

Guille is very familiar and, moreover, he comes from a very large family (five siblings between girls and boys). Of course, they all climb. And they all do it well. In fact, every year the Peinado’s usually equip some blocks on the wall of their house for a competition with their family and friends.

He also likes to ride his bike and motorcycle, it helps him to disconnect from the pressure of training and competition. But what he really likes are the colored dams and although he never says it, every day he wakes up with the same attitude and desire to become a world champion.

“He loves rock climbing, but competing is his thing.
In addition to training and competing at the highest level, Guille continues with his studies, a not insignificant combination. “I can assure you that it is very hard, but it is worth it,” says Guille and from experience, he encourages anyone who finds themselves in the same situation as him, combining climbing training, competition and studies, to keep giving it their all.
