Ichi was born in Valladolid in 2005 in a family that loves mountains and climbing. She started climbing when she was very young and, according to her, the climbing bug bit her when she climbed her first 7a, when she was only 12 years old.
She soon moved to live with her grandmother in Las Rozas (Madrid) to be able to train at Sputnik. The most complicated thing is to combine high school and training. Although she likes climbing much more than studying, she puts a lot of effort into her studies.
For her, competition is meaningless if she is not enjoying herself. More than a place on a list, what interests Ichi is the adrenaline of seeing herself able to solve a problem. As she says, climbing fills her heart.

Despite her shy nature, if you look into her eyes you can always see her smile. And if you are lucky, you will be able to hear her playing the ukulele and singing some of her lyrics – yes, she also composes her own songs and has a voice that captivates.
